East African travel is shaped by seasons, wildlife, weather, road conditions and local operating requirements. This notice explains the practical realities to keep in mind when planning a journey with Sunward Travel.
Travel conditions can change
Wildlife movements, weather, roads, park conditions, flight schedules and accommodation availability may change. Where this affects a journey, Sunward Travel will work with clients and suppliers to consider practical alternatives. Viewing wildlife is never guaranteed.
Confirmations and itinerary information
Routes, permits, park activities, flights, transfers and accommodation are confirmed as part of the planning and booking process. Please review the final itinerary, vouchers and travel documents supplied for your journey, as these contain the applicable arrangements and timings.
Passports, visas and health requirements
Clients are responsible for holding valid passports, visas and other documents required for the countries and transit points in their itinerary. Sunward Travel may provide general guidance, but entry, vaccination and health requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy, consulate and official government sources before travel.
Insurance and personal preparation
Sunward Travel strongly recommends comprehensive travel insurance that is appropriate for the planned journey and activities, including medical cover, emergency evacuation, cancellation or interruption, baggage and personal liability where relevant. Travellers should also follow the packing, fitness and activity guidance provided for their itinerary.
Activities and personal responsibility
Some activities involve uneven terrain, changes in altitude, wildlife or other natural conditions. Please tell the planning team about any accessibility, medical or mobility considerations that may affect your experience. Follow the instructions of guides, park authorities and activity providers at all times.
