The route ranges from freshwater lake scenery, birdlife and relaxed Rift Valley surroundings in Lake Naivasha, Rift Valley scenery, rhino habitat and abundant birdlife in Lake Nakuru, and open savannahs, big-cat country and classic East African wildlife viewing in Maasai Mara before continuing through additional contrasting landscapes. The cross-border routing is coordinated to connect the neighbouring ecosystems while allowing time for game drives on both sides of the frontier.
