The route ranges from elephant-rich plains and wide views towards Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli National Park, baobab landscapes, elephant herds and the seasonal Tarangire River in Tarangire National Park, and the spectacular crater landscape and concentrated wildlife of the Ngorongoro highlands in Ngorongoro Conservation Area before continuing through additional contrasting landscapes. The cross-border routing is coordinated to connect the neighbouring ecosystems while allowing time for game drives on both sides of the frontier.
