The route combines open savannahs, big-cat country and classic East African wildlife viewing in Maasai Mara, vast plains, dramatic wildlife concentrations and one of Africa's most celebrated safari landscapes in Serengeti National Park, and the spectacular crater landscape and concentrated wildlife of the Ngorongoro highlands in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The cross-border routing is coordinated to connect the neighbouring ecosystems while allowing time for game drives on both sides of the frontier.
